Tiggywinkles, one of the world’s busiest, multi award-winning Wildlife Hospitals, are seeking a Course Tutor on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, working as part of the Education Team.
This is a full-time position (job share considered) working 8.30am to 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays, starting in mid February 2027 and ending in mid March 2028.
The main duties of this role are to teach and support the students to help them reach their individual potential and ensure they achieve their course on target. To create and deliver high quality lessons; set and mark assignments and practical assessments; support students with pastoral care; cleaning classroom areas; plan and accompany students on offsite trips; complete all administrative duties regarding course standards; and assist with career events.
To succeed in this role you need to be an enthusiastic, outgoing individual, able to teach a classroom of students and remain calm and positive at all times, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You need a degree in an animal related subject, experience of providing lessons in a classroom setting and to be happy to undergo further professional training. Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
