We offer a unique, hands-on route to gaining a fully accredited and nationally recognised qualification, whilst working with all species of British wildlife.
By donating to Tiggywinkles, you will be helping us provide life-saving treatment and care to all species of British Wildlife. Any amount you can give will help change the lives of the thousands of animals we care for each year.
If you are a UK taxpayer you can increase the value of donations with no extra costs to you; if you sign up for Gift Aid we can reclaim tax on your kind donation from HM Revenue & Customs. So for example if you give £10 using Gift Aid it is worth £12.50 to us as the basic tax rate is 20%.
Tiggywinkles was founded in 1978 and funded solely by the Stocker family until gaining official charity status in February 1983. 40 years on, we reach another milestone; On 1st February 2023, Tiggywinkles has become a Charity Incorporated Organisation (‘CIO’). Our dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating British wildlife 24 hours a day, seven days a week remains the same and there will be absolutely no changes to the day to day running of the Hospital. We still have the same working title of Tiggywinkles, but the charity is now registered as ‘The Wildlife Hospital Foundation’, charity number 1200460.
This does mean that we now require an updated Gift Aid declaration from each of our supporters so that we can continue to benefit from the government scheme. Please click here to update your Gift Aid declaration: Gift Aid Declaration – Tiggywinkles (sttiggywinkles.org.uk)
Tiggywinkles survives on a solid base of membership and relies on donations from the general public and sponsors to thrive. It receives no state funding of any kind and no financial assistance from other animal welfare or conservation groups. If you would like to help us continue our lifesaving work please click here.
