Wendy’s Legacy of Love for Animals

Over the years, Wendy shared her home with beloved pets, including two Afghan Hounds who often filled her lounge floor so completely that visitors had to carefully manoeuvre around them. After they passed, cats became her companions, with her much-loved Fudge being the last. Wendy’s home reflected her passion – filled with photographs of the animals who had meant so much to her.

A gentle and thoughtful lady, Wendy often found more comfort in the company of animals than in people. She wanted to make sure that her love for them would continue long after she was gone. In her Will, Wendy chose to leave a gift to Tiggywinkles – her local wildlife hospital – especially close to her heart.

Not long after Wendy passed away, her sister-in-law, Pennie, was clearing her home when she experienced a special moment of connection that felt more than coincidence. As she returned to her car, she noticed a hedgehog by the back door. “It crossed my mind that Wendy was there, giving me a role,” Pennie recalled. “I took the hedgehog to Tiggywinkles, knowing I was placing it into safe hands.”

Thanks to Wendy’s legacy, her kindness continues to protect local wildlife every single day. Her gift to Tiggywinkles ensures that countless injured and orphaned creatures can receive veterinary treatment, expert care, comfort, and the chance to return to the wild where they belong.

By leaving a gift in your will to Tiggywinkles, you too can create a legacy of compassion – one that carries forward your love for wildlife and makes a lasting difference for generations to come.
